The Mortal War is over, and sixteen-year-old Clary Fray is back home in New York, excited about all the possibilities before her. She’s training to become a Shadowhunter and to use her unique power. Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And—most importantly of all—she can finally call Jace her boyfriend.

But nothing comes without a price.

Someone is murdering Shadowhunters, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second, bloody war. Clary’s best friend, Simon, can’t help her—his mother just found out that he’s a vampire, and now he’s homeless. When Jace begins to pull away from her without explaining why, Clary is forced to delve into the heart of a mystery whose solution reveals her worst nightmare: she herself has set in motion a terrible chain of events that could lead to her losing everything she loves. Even Jace.

Review :

I finally got this book! Yes, this book has released for a long time. Yes, the last book is going to release in less than a week . And yes, I should have read Clockwork Angel first. I used to think like that. But I was seriously tired of waiting and I wanted to finish all the series as soon as possible, so I just skipped Clockwork Angel and started reading City of Fallen Angels instead. I mean seriously, I read the first three books before the movie but I didn’t want to read the fourth one because I was still looking for Clockwork Angel.

Anyway, if you haven’t read it because you are still waiting for the Clockwork Angel first like me. Please don’t do that. It was stupid of me. You won’t get confused with the story or something. The book only mentions Jem and Will a few times but that won’t affect the storyline.

Okay. City of Fallen Angels set right after the City of Glass event. In this book, the story involved around Simon’s life. I was never been so excited about Simon’s life, actually. But Cassie sure tell his stories in a very interesting way. Well, his life is supposed to be interesting. I mean he is Daylighter and he bear the Mark of Cain. He also developed some romantic relationship with Maia and Isabelle. I ship Sizzy more, to be honest. Anyway, his friendship with Clary is also very cute in their very own way. Their friendship really shows us that friends are forever.

Move on to the characters of the book. Well, there aren’t much to talk about actually. Most of the story talks about Simon and I already explain it . I want to talk about Clary and Jace but I have been fangiriling my reviews on the first three books. Ah, Sebastian. Do you still Clary’s brother? The real one? Sebastian or Jonathan whatever you call it? Just a little bit spoiler, he came back. Not much to talk about, but I’m sure he will have an important roles in the next book.

Most of the story to be honest, only talks about where all the relationships fall. There aren’t much problems until you reach the middle-near-end of the book. I think it will do you good if you want to take a break from those problems and have a fangirling moment for a while. But I was looking for more actions. I guess that's the reason why my personal rating for this book is the lower comparing the previous books

Anyway, should I read TID series before I continue to CoLS or should I just go straight read the next book? Your answer would be very helpful!

So I guess this is the end of my review.  Thanks for coming!
