I was so happy that I finally bought the book! I love The Selection and I was waiting for The Elite like so damn crazy. For you who haven't know it, this book is the second book of The Selection series. So if you are interested in reading the book, I recommend you to read the first one. The Selection series has a novela too, The Prince. Anyway this is my review :

I love the book very much. I still read it the way I read The Selection, fast and really enjoying. I kept flipping the next page, wondering what will happen next. The book is really fun an enjoyable. But, hate to say, I still love the first one better. This book is good, but I found some part that I don't really like. But before we go to the cons, I want to go for the pros first.

So, for the pros, I found Maxon's carefree side. He's getting better an better with girls, wasn't he? And I love it. I also love the friendship between America and Marlee. It showed us that we can compete and befriends at the same time. And then the way America defended Marlee. I found it really courageous, and I love brave heroines. I'm glad that the queen didn't angry when America did it. I guess that's one of the reasons why I like queen?  Oh, and if you read it, you will found more about the girls , the royals, and The Selection ( by this, I mean the competition). Talking about the girls, I never notice Kriss before and she got a piece of my attentions. I think she was a fun and laid back girl, quite contradict America I guess. She can be competitive and friendly at the same time. She can be a good friend for America, since Marlee was out. I also like that the author, Kiera Cass, finally opened up some history of Illea. One last thing, I love how this book ends because she finally choose Maxon over Aspen. She finally made her mind ( She did right?).

And now, for the cons. I really wished that America could trust Maxon's a little bit more. I mean, it's always her nature, her character, but Maxon had given her so much and trusted her more than anyone, I think it's fair for America to give some trust to Maxon. I also wish that America didn't keep jumping around two guys. But I love that eventhough she was kicked out, she didn't choose Aspen because he was her only choice, so I guess that's add the pros. Now, enough for America, let's move the the prince. I was a little bit shocked when America saw Maxon kissing Celeste so passionately, and then he said that he only using her. I was like O_o . I think he didn't know how to do with girls? Well, let's move on to other character. Celeste and the King , I suppose. Ugh! They're getting my nerves!! I always know that she's a brat but in this book, she was so damn spoiled. And the king, I was okay with him in the first book, but I don't really like since I read The Prince, and in The Elite, gosh, I hate him. What's so matter about the castes? America is smart , brave,  and as I remember, many people support her, even Princess Nicoletta.

Well, that's my review. Anyway, despite all the cons, I still love the book and I would recommended for you. I still take the book as one of my favorites. I hope that the third book will be better.  One more thing, if you like the first one, read the second one , you will love it. And for Miss Kiera Cass, I am so pleased with your works and looking for the next book.

I read Elite too! And I'm curious about The Prince XD. There's actually a series that's pretty good too. Have you heard of the Watersong series? It's pretty much about sirens. Wouldn't recommend it though; too um, young ADULT for me
